After leaving Warrnambool we eventually made camp Dartmoor, I got talking to one of the 5 other
units camped there and found out that they came from Burrell Creek, not far from
Taree.
When his wife came out of the van it turned out that she had worked with
Beverley at the base hospital finance department at home. Small world eh!
On through Digby, Merino, to Casterton, the birthplace of the Australian
Kelpie dog. Had lunch there while the washing and drying was in progress.
Next town for a look around was Penola, in SA, where Sister Mary McKillip
started her fame. Also Fr. Joseph Tennyson Woods worked with her to establish
the learning center for the children. The convent building in Taree was
probably named after him.
Last night we camped over the road from the cemetery at Naracoorte and woke
up to 5 degrees!
The day was fine and sunny and we soon became very hot and had to shed a
couple of skins!
First job of the day was to wash the MH, get some air in the tyres then
have a look around town before going the near the swimming lake for a coffee in
fill up the water tank.
A bit later on we arrived at Keith, and phoned Keith in Bunbury WA. Had
some nice pumpkin soup with a crusty bread roll with sesame seeds for
lunch.
Tonight we are at the Avoca Dell CVP at Murray Bridge where Bev has caught
up with the washing and ironing.
Tomorrow we head for Nuriootpa & Burra and later maybe camp at the old
railway station at Terowie.
Looking for a lost cousin at Keith SA. That's a lot of bull!
